Explore Services Offered

All services are currently provided via Telehealth. If you are in the Sonoma, CA area, in-person sessions may be accommodated.

  • Therapy is for all! In our individual sessions we will work together to create meaningful goals and practice ways to reach those goals. Therapy is not and will not become your life. Therapy is a small piece of your life that can make a big impact. In our sessions you will learn, discover, and journey your way to a full, authentic, and beautiful life!

I operate from a person-centered approach and utilize skills and ideas from CBT, DBT, ACT, CPT, SE, and MBSR. Not sure what that alphabet soup is? No worries, we’ll learn together!

  • We are wired for community, to receive support when times are tough. Working together as a system does not mean something is wrong with the system. Receiving therapy for the system shows courage, care, and willingness to grow.

Family sessions can be with any loved ones that you consider to be part of your tribe (i.e. sibling, parent, friend, partner, etc.).

In these sessions we will develop goals as a team and work to achieve those goals through practicing skills such as communication and regulation skills.

  • Let me start by saying this: Groups are INCREDIBLE! I can’t wait to begin offering meaningful groups to the community.

Groups will be launching soon. Please keep checking back here for updates :)

Set up an initial chat

I know that first reach out can feel a bit scary! Let me put your mind at ease. Our initial call will simply be about getting to know each other and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. No pressure, no judgement, just a friendly listening ear.

About Me

Dear You!

My name is Jenny George McGunagle and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California. I received my undergraduate degree in music therapy from Temple University and my master’s degree in school and mental health counseling from University of San Diego. I’m originally from Virginia so east coast transplants, have no fear, a fellow east coaster is here!

My career so far has allowed me to work in a variety of settings such as hospice, elementary and middle schools, residential, and PHP/IOP programs. I specialize in working with folks struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and trauma. I strongly believe that you are the expert of yourself and will work alongside you, not above you.

Like most therapists, I am no stranger to receiving therapy myself. We are all humans fumbling, crying, and laughing our way through this beautiful thing we call life.

I love meeting new people and helping them see how wonderful they truly are. So let’s get started and fumble, cry, and laugh our way through whatever you are working through at the moment.

Warmly,

Jenny
